How do I apply for financial aid?
2024-2025 Applicants
Submit the , available now. Due to FAFSA delays earlier this year, WVU has lifted the priority deadline. Therefore, some funding may be limited, or deadlines may have passed.
There is no change to the WVU scholarship deadline for 2024-2025. Students must be admitted by June 1 to be eligible for WVU scholarships in the fall, and December 1 for the spring.
West Virginia residents are encouraged to review the requirements.
2025-2026 Applicants
Students applying for fall 2025 will have access to the new FAFSA on or before December 1. A limited number of students and institutions may be selected for testing prior to this date.
The WVU priority deadline for FAFSA is March 1, and new students must be admitted by August 1 for the fall start or January 2 for the spring start to be eligible for merit scholarships.
